I am directed by the Secretary of State for India

in Council to acknowledge the receipt of your letter No.8783

dated the 2nd March on the subject of the arrangements for

the supply of opium to Macao,

In reply I am to inform you that having consulted

the Government of India the Marquess of Crewe agrees to the

addition suggested by the Governor of Macao to the revised

statement of proposals enclosed with my letter R. & S.3467

dated the lat October 1914.
